Keeping activities fresh and exciting is so important to the success of students and helping them to master new skills and challenges. The internet is filled with resources and activities for all types of skills and tasks. Here are a few of our favorite sites for activity resources that might lead you to just the right activity for your students.

Teachers Pay Teachers – This is a well-known resource for those in the education system, but sometimes support staff like therapists aren’t aware or forget that there are sections dedicated to their specialty. Find worksheets and activities that others have used with their students at very affordable rates, and know that you are paying colleagues for their work and sharing their experience.

Have More Fun – This site has many simplistic games that you can play with your students. Each focuses on a specific letter, blend, or sound that you may be working on. There are different game styles so that you can find applications that are effective for your students’ needs and interests.

Home Speech Home – There are loads of great activities here, as well as resources to help SLPs hone their own skills. Get iPad resources, downloadable flashcards, watch videos, and more. Resources here are free or affordably priced.

Speaking of Speech – The exchange page here has activities submitted by teachers and SLPs that they want to share with others in the field. Though it seems to be somewhat dated, there is a wealth of information and activities available to use, all for free. Also, there is a fairly active message board on the site to connect with other therapists and teachers.

Speech & Language Kids – Created by a speech pathologist, this site has free printables, flashcards, worksheets, and so much more. Most materials here are geared toward younger children but some can be modified to help with older elementary kids, as well. They also offer webinars and other services to help SLPs get additional training and ideas.

SLP Solution – This is a membership site, but there are very affordable options for those who must pay out of pocket. There is a vast library of activities, plus plenty of other perks as well. Depending on the level of membership, you can take advantage of organizational resources, planning emails, training videos, eBooks, and more.

Making Learning Fun – This site has many free printables and activities that you can use for your students, organized by both theme and alphabetically by activity. Though they are not all speech-focused, there are lots that can be used in therapy or modified for use in therapy.

This is just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to finding great speech activity resources online that are free or affordably priced. We hope that we’ve shared some sites that are new to you that will help you fill your planner to create a successful year for your students.
