Q: What is the best part of working at Soliant?
A: The culture and the people here are amazing. There is so much diversity, which makes for a fun work environment.

Q: How did the University of West Georgia help you to prepare for your career at Soliant?
A: With my major, I had to write a lot of papers and do a lot of presentations. It helped evolve my communication skills, which is essential for my job as as Account Executive at Soliant.

Q: Before Soliant, what did you do for a living?
A: I was a student by day and a waitress by night.

Q: What was a favorite memory attending the University of West Georgia?
A: My favorite memory was joining a sorority my freshman year. It really pushed me to meet new people, get more involved on campus and brought me the opportunity to volunteer in the community.

Q: What advice would you give anyone who is considering a career with Soliant?
A: Have a positive mindset and keep going. Some days are hectic, but worth it when you start to see it pay off. It can be a difficult transition going from college to starting a career, so make sure that you still take the time to do the things you enjoy.

A: I loved the time I spent in my sorority!

A: I love to read, watch movies and hang out with my hubby!

A: Don’t sweat the small stuff that won’t matter a year from now.

A: I was an Aerospace Physiology Technician in the U.S. Air Force.

Q: What advice would you give your college self?
A: Enjoy every minute and keep working hard. 

Q: What are your hobbies and interests outside of work?
A: I enjoy spending time with my wife, Ashley, and my son, Cohen. I also enjoy cooking and playing sports.

A: My favorite memory is all the friendships that I made.

Tera Rowland is the vice president of Soliant and has worked in the healthcare staffing industry for almost 20 years in public relations, social media, marketing and operations. In addition to Soliant, Tera worked at the Mayo Clinic as an internal communication manager and for the Children’s Miracle Network. She is a member of the American Marketing Association and the American Staffing Association. Also, Tera has served on the board of directors for the Jacksonville Women’s Leadership Forum as part of the communication committee. She has a Bachelor of Science degree in Public Relations as well as a Master of Business Administration in Marketing from the University of North Florida and has been published in the Huffington Post, Healthcare Finance News, Healthcare Traveler Magazine, and Scrubs Magazine.
