Q: If Soliant had a theme song, what would it be?
A: “We Are Family.” Soliant is my second family.

Q: Describe Soliant in three words.
A: Rewarding. Relevant. Resilient. 

Q: Before working at Soliant what did you do for a living?
A: Previous to Soliant I worked for a sales firm that represented news stations owned by Post News Week and we sold commercial time to national accounts such as Honda.

Q: How did attending Georgia Southern University help you prepare for your career at Soliant?
A: College taught me the importance of prioritizing and time management.

Q: What was a favorite memory of attending Georgia Southern University?
A: I made the BEST friends of my life through the sorority, Alpha Delta Pi. One memory that stands out was my junior year, I received a leadership award and a scholarship. I was honored in front of a large crowd. Having my parents in the audience was such a special moment. Also, my college graduation was HUGE, especially since I was a first generation college graduate. 

Q: If Soliant had a mascot, what would it be?
A: A shovel. I know that’s weird, but its who we are. We dig in, we move earth, and we make life better.

Q: What’s the best part of working at Soliant?
A:
Seeing and being a part of changing lives for the better both personally and professionally. My life has certainly been made better by Soliant.

Q: What advice would you give your college self?
A: Enjoy the simple things in life and be present in the moments that matter to you because time is going to go faster than you can imagine.

A: Dynamic. Innovative. Curious. 

Q: How did attending Georgia Southern University help you prepare for your career at Soliant?
A: Attending Georgia Southern taught me independence and the importance of helping others. 

Q: What advice would you give anyone who is considering a career in Soliant?
A: Live by the Golden Rule and utilize your resources to their full accessibility (your mentors, coaches, etc.). Also, don’t be afraid to make mistakes but instead use them to learn and grow. 

Q: What are your hobbies and interests outside of work?
A: I enjoy spending time with family, playing the violin, outdoor activities and learning new things. 

Q: What’s the best part of working at Soliant?
A: Seeing how much it can change and impact someone’s life in an amazing way!

Tera Rowland is the vice president of Soliant and has worked in the healthcare staffing industry for almost 20 years in public relations, social media, marketing and operations. In addition to Soliant, Tera worked at the Mayo Clinic as an internal communication manager and for the Children’s Miracle Network. She is a member of the American Marketing Association and the American Staffing Association. Also, Tera has served on the board of directors for the Jacksonville Women’s Leadership Forum as part of the communication committee. She has a Bachelor of Science degree in Public Relations as well as a Master of Business Administration in Marketing from the University of North Florida and has been published in the Huffington Post, Healthcare Finance News, Healthcare Traveler Magazine, and Scrubs Magazine.
