We had so many great selections this year that we had to go with the Top 51 instead of Top 50 finalists. Medical Center of the Rockies is a beautiful hospital but for me it was a nightmare. My daughter, Melissa , a brain injured victim was denied advanced treatment for her injury because she was a poor prognosis and poor outcome, before brain death was documented she was being prepped to be a donor. My daughter was never brain dead, she moved her toe, started her menstrual, contracted her thigh muscle, withdrew her leg, sat up in her bed, and the nurse thought she breathed over the vent. All of this was ignored and was said, it is all spinal. But this was clearly a functioning brain and life.
